It's a good, reliable piano. What other pianos did you consider before deciding on the Kawai K300?

how many nice uprights did you test play before making the decision ? those two brands have sold quite a few uprights over the years and in many markets there's a good selection in decent used ones. for the price of a new 300 you might be able to find a taller model in a pre owned that has plenty of life left in it.

I looked at a ux 10a yamaha from Japan 6190.00 I really liked it. It was taller 52in. He would only lower the price 8percent. I wasn't sure because it was a 1992 from Japan not here. concerned about humidity etc.

I did find 2 Yamaha's from Japan. Wasn't sure about buying them 1992 ux10 a and ux30. 6000 and 7000 and something. Not sure because of humidity etc. What do you think. they were both beautiful and they had the x at the back and the opening at the front for the music to come out, as well as the large music stand. I really was going for the new one for a safe piano and I like the clarity of sound and the richness of sound that I heard. They are at different places.

Nothing wrong with liking the sound better on the smaller, new piano.
