Hello all,
There will be a showing of the Zenph D playing Rachmaninoff at Faust Harrison Pianos, similar to what was unveiled at Steinway Hall last month discussed here:
Rachmaninoff Plays RachmaninoffAlthough we just announced this a couple days ago, and although we originally planned to have just one peformance, we had such an overwhelming response that we've now scheduled a second performance on the same evening. It would be terrific if some Pianoworld members would be part of this. I have copied a portion of the invite below; please RSVP if you would like to come - spaces are filling up VERY quickly.
You Are Cordially Invited Faust Harrison Pianos, in association with
Zenph Studios, proudly presents "Rachmaninoff Plays Rachmaninoff." This landmark performance is unlike anything you have ever witnessed, unless you are fortunate enough to have heard Rachmaninoff perform in person.
On Thursday, October 15th, come be a part of history in the making, as one of the world's most technologically advanced pianos performs the original performance of Rachmaninoff's greatest works. This performance will not be of an interpretation of Rachmaninoff's composition by a different performer, but his actual recorded performance reproduced on a magnificent 1909 Steinway Concert D restored by Faust Harrison Pianos.
The program will include pieces Rachmaninoff performed of his own music as well as his interpretation of music by other composers.
