Having Problems with the Forums?

Piano Forums

If you are having problems registering, posting, or seeing things you think you should be able to see, please see these possible solutions...

There could be a few different reasons you are having trouble ...

1.) Your browser security is set too high. In Internet Explorer go to: Tools/Internet Options/Security. If it is set to high, try setting it to medium.

2.)The date could be set wrong on your computer. If you have the time showing in the lower right corner of your computer desktop, mouse over it and see what the date is. I've seen instances where it was set for some date in the future. This confuses the browser and the software for the forums. If it is wrong, double click over the time and bring up a box that lets you set it to the correct time/date.

3.) Your browser isn't set to accept cookies. Cookies are used by shopping carts and forums like ours to maintain what is called a session. See the following instructions for setting your browser to accept cookies.

NOTE: These are only suggestions. Piano World does not provide any support for these procedures other than these directions.
Always make careful notes about what you are changing, in case you need to change them back!

If the issue is security feature related you will get the error:
"The characters you typed were incorrect. Please try again."
Or
"Sorry, we were unable to find your age information. It appears that your browser did not send the information to us properly. Please make sure your browser accepts cookies from this UBB. You can not register or log in without cookies. "

In some instances we've found the free Firefox browser (www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ ) will work when Internet Explorer won't.

If you have tried and are still unable to access please follow these steps:

In Internet Explorer
1) Click Tools on the IE menu bar (top of the screen)
2) Click Internet Options
3) Click Privacy
4) Click Edit under the Website box
5) In the Address of Website Box type: pianoworld.com (then hit Allow)
6) Hit OK
7) Hit Ok on the next Box
8) Close out of all your browser windows and then reopen and try again.
