Providing tuning and repairs for all makes and models of pianos. Official technician for Arlington Co Public Schools, member of the Piano Technicians Guild.  I am also a former pianist and organist.   Call (703) 255-2775 to schedule an appointment.  A comprehensive tuning costs $135. Minimum charge for visit is $75. Pitch raise: 20 to 50 cents flat an additional $25, 50 to 100% flat, $50; more than that, $75.   Other fees and services: Bass String Replacement: $75 for one string - $40 for additional bass strings - Entire bass section at approximately $20/per string.  Treble strings, $50 if I am already on site. Full restringing priced per job.    New hammers, partial rebuilds, etc. priced per job.   Hammer Reshaping - $125 shaping the hammers restores the felt's original surface and improves tone.   Voicing - $95-250 Pianos can be made to sound brighter or voiced down to be mellower. Over time piano the felt of piano hammers becomes compressed and may become hardened and harsh sounding. Key Recovering-  $325 (white keys only) Pricing varies depending upon choice of material and whether or not sharp keys are done as well.
